Kaye Adams has had to step back from her presenting gigs due to health woes.

Scheduled to grace the airwaves on BBC Radio Scotland and join the panel on Loose Women this week, the broadcaster took to social media to share her health struggles, which include a notably hoarse voice.

Despite the setback, Kaye reassured her followers that she’s on the mend and anticipates a swift recovery within the “next couple of days”.

On Instagram, Kaye expressed her disappointment: “Well I was really looking forward to getting back onto the radio tomorrow morning, but unfortunately I woke up sounding as if I had been eating woodbine all night.”

Midway through her update, she paused to cough, then continued: “So, sadly not to be. I’m mainlining Jakemans so hopefully it’ll get better over the next couple of days.”

The 61 year old is well-known for her eponymous morning show on BBC Scotland, starting at 9am, where she delves into pressing news topics and encourages listener participation.

Earlier in the year, Kaye recounted a “traumatic” experience over a two-day period while working on Loose Women. In a candid Instagram post in January, she detailed the ordeal.
