M&S new-in cardigan has ‘just right length to hide tum’

As the leaves turn and we bid farewell to summer, high-street fashion retailers are gearing up for the change in season with fresh autumnal collections. M&S is at the forefront, already showcasing an array of new tops, trousers, and jackets in its stores.

Marks is set to impress this autumn with its latest line of heavy-knit cardigans, with one standout piece already causing quite the buzz: this retailing at £35.

Sporting black stripes on a beige background, complemented by statement gold buttons,  comes in sizes ranging from XS to XL. It’s styled with a simple white tank top and sleek black trousers on the model.

The knitwear has quickly , with 68 customers awarding it a full five stars. A satisfied customer commented: “I tried it on and it is just the right length to hide my tummy, it’s very flattering. I’m 5ft 4 and size 12. Haven’t worn it out yet as weather is warm but I’m sure I will soon.”

Another shopper expressed their approval, saying: “Love the cardigan. Quality is excellent and priced well. Like the style, that is relaxed, but can be worn either with jeans and a T-shirt or with a dress. I bought large, (16. 5 ft 5 ins) but probably could have got away with medium for a snugger fit.”, reports the Mirror.

They added: “It feels weighty, cotton knit, and the sleeves are long, so I have turned them up. But it looks good. Buttons give it another element. Not sure how it will wash though.”

Yet another review read: “I love this for wearing with blue, ecru, or black jeans or smartening up a little black dress or smart black trousers. Really good value for money!”

One satisfied customer commented: “It’s really good quality, as you would expect from M&S. It looks smart with black trousers or jeans. Soft and comfortable for this weather!” 

However, it’s important to note that not all shoppers were satisfied, with one customer reporting that the cardigan shrank after washing, saying: “It shrank when hand washed, and I had to return it due to poor quality.” Another customer found some of the buttons missing, stating: “It arrived with buttons missing, making it unwearable.”
